VORK ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) outlines the standards of conduct expected from all users of the VORK platform (“Platform”), including employers, workers, artisans, volunteers, organizations, and visitors.

VORK Technologies Limited (“VORK”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to maintaining a safe, trustworthy, and lawful marketplace where employers can connect with skilled workers and volunteers.

This Policy forms part of the VORK Terms of Use. Any breach of this Policy may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account.


2. Acceptable Use

You may use VORK only for legitimate and lawful purposes, including:

  • Hiring workers or artisans.
  • Applying for employment opportunities.
  • Offering professional or skilled services.
  • Participating in volunteer opportunities.
  • Building professional profiles.
  • Communicating with other users through approved platform features.
  • Paying applicable platform fees.

Users are expected to act honestly, professionally, and respectfully at all times.


3. Identity and Account Integrity

Users must:

  • Register using their true legal identity.
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
  • Maintain only one personal account unless expressly authorised.
  • Keep login credentials secure.
  • Notify VORK immediately if they suspect unauthorized access to their account.

Users must not:

  • Create fake or anonymous accounts.
  • Impersonate another person or organization.
  • Use another person’s identity or documents.
  • Share or sell their VORK account.

4. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited on VORK.

4.1 Fraud and Misrepresentation

Users must not:

  • Provide false qualifications or work experience.
  • Upload forged certificates or identification documents.
  • Manipulate ratings or reviews.
  • Misrepresent their identity, skills, services, or business.
  • Attempt to deceive employers, workers, or other users.

4.2 Illegal Activities

Users may not use VORK for activities involving:

  • Money laundering.
  • Terrorist financing.
  • Human trafficking.
  • Child exploitation.
  • Bribery or corruption.
  • Identity theft.
  • Fraudulent financial schemes.
  • Any activity prohibited under the laws of Ghana or other applicable jurisdictions.

4.3 Prohibited Jobs and Services

The following may not be advertised, promoted, offered, or facilitated through VORK:

  • Illegal drugs or narcotics.
  • Counterfeit goods.
  • Firearms, ammunition, or illegal weapons.
  • Explosives.
  • Adult or sexually explicit services.
  • Escort or prostitution-related services.
  • Gambling services prohibited by law.
  • Pyramid or Ponzi schemes.
  • Stolen goods.
  • Wildlife trafficking.
  • Hazardous or unlawful services.
  • Any activity that infringes another person’s legal rights.

4.4 Unsafe Employment Practices

Employers may not post opportunities that:

  • Promote discrimination.
  • Encourage forced labour.
  • Exploit workers.
  • Offer illegal employment.
  • Endanger workers’ health or safety.
  • Require unlawful activities.

4.5 Payment Abuse

Users must not:

  • Use stolen payment instruments.
  • Reverse legitimate payments fraudulently.
  • Circumvent VORK platform fees.
  • Attempt unauthorized transactions.
  • Abuse refunds or payment systems.
  • Engage in financial fraud of any kind.

4.6 Platform Abuse

Users must not:

  • Hack or attempt to gain unauthorized access.
  • Upload viruses or malicious software.
  • Interfere with platform security.
  • Use bots or automated systems without authorization.
  • Spam or harass other users.
  • Scrape or copy platform data without written permission.
  • Attempt to disrupt the operation of the Platform.

5. User Verification

To promote trust and safety, VORK may verify user identities before or after account registration.

Verification may include:

  • Government-issued identification.
  • Mobile phone verification.
  • Email verification.
  • Profile review.
  • Additional documentation where necessary.

VORK reserves the right to request further verification where suspicious activity is detected.


6. Monitoring and Compliance

VORK may monitor platform activity to:

  • Prevent fraud.
  • Detect suspicious transactions.
  • Investigate complaints.
  • Protect users.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

Where appropriate, VORK may cooperate with law enforcement agencies and regulatory authorities.


7. Reporting Misuse

Users are encouraged to report:

  • Fraud.
  • Fake profiles.
  • Scams.
  • Harassment.
  • Illegal job postings.
  • Abuse of the Platform.
  • Suspicious activity.

Reports may be submitted through VORK Customer Support.


8. Enforcement

Where this Policy is violated, VORK may, at its sole discretion:

  • Remove content.
  • Cancel job postings.
  • Suspend accounts.
  • Restrict platform features.
  • Permanently terminate accounts.
  • Refuse future registrations.
  • Report illegal activities to the relevant authorities.

Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent removal from the Platform.


9. No Employment Relationship

VORK is a technology marketplace that facilitates connections between employers and workers.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

  • VORK is not the employer of workers using the Platform.
  • VORK is not responsible for agreements entered into between users.
  • Users remain solely responsible for complying with all applicable employment, tax, and legal obligations.

10. Changes to this Policy

VORK may amend this Policy from time to time.

Any updates will be published on the Platform and will become effective immediately upon publication unless otherwise stated.

Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
